I can assure you a run a 'very tight' machine security-wise and I run Malwarebytes - the paid for version (runs in the background all the time) that gives website protection i.e. Something is obviously monitoring your forum site and then redirecting me - a user to some other website. The site looks a bit unreal and its heading is my username.

On a side note, then I have discovered that whenever landing on your forum site and indeed checking the address URL in my browser, then when I log in with my username and password then I am taken to a Chinese site which looks like something to do with DIY.
You will note from above that the date for that file is 01-01-2017. In any event I would not expect it to create a file on my desktop. I have no idea what its internal structure is i.e. Interestingly or worryingly, then I have a file search program called Everything which just searches for file names.

Also, but it will be missing a lot of data, then there are a few very old CintaNotes databases in the Archive section of the backup program that I use. I have not attempted to open it in case something is happening behind the scenes. However, I do wonder if that too will come up asking for a password. Naturally a file exists within that backup. I understand the redirect.ini option, service config registry option, and command line option for specifying different config folder, and that it might be considered "messy" to have config data and exe together, but the problem with the existing solution's, is that a Bvckup folder, with all corresponding config data, cannot be moved around as easily.įor example, suppose I re-install Windows, I have to re-copy over the redirect.ini file, and change the service config registry value again. If found, it will automatically place config folder in same folder as bvckup2.exe.
